<Day 1 : MARKET FUNDAMENTALS>

- The short-term markets

<Day 2 : BUSINESS MODELS>
- Review the industry players and the various business models in operation
The stakeholders in the LNG supply projects and their differing perspectives in the short-term markets
The opportunities emerging from the current markets - A look at business models
- Multi-party negotiations between diverse LNG stakeholders
Participants will be provided with briefing materials to play one of a number of roles in a fictional LNG project development.
They will take part in a multi-party negotiation between diverse LNG stakeholders. The emphasis will be on finding
solutions that meet the key aspirations of the participants. The debrief session will look at the strategies open to the
various players and how they can maximise their negotiating position in the light of their bargaining power.
<Day 3 : LNG ARBITRAGE, TRADING AND OPTIMISATION>
- LNG arbitrage value
- The risk register
- Master Sales Agreements
- NEGOTIATION EXERCISE: The key points of an MSA
Participants will take the role of a buyer or seller in the negotiation of certain key terms of an MSA
The debrief session will highlight the risks within the MSA structure

Introduction to the case study as a whole

<Day 4 : A CLOSER LOOK AT LNG TRADING/OPTIMISATION>
- Current activities from IOCs, utilities and ‘Traders’
Trading/ optimization volumes as a proportion of global sales
- The Life of an LNG Cargo” Part 2
: This session builds on the case study that was introduced on Day 3 and shows how deals can change quickly.
This interactive role play session deals with:
Managing the day-to-day cargo operational issues
Responding to new opportunities that arise
Balancing risk and reward
